PhD Conference on Sustainable Development

New ideas are required to address complex societal challenges. On 9 October 2025, the Lund University PhD Conference on Sustainable Development will encourage interdisciplinary collaboration to advance academic research on sustainability. The event will provide a space to share ideas, learn, and explore.

The Agenda 2030 Graduate School has organised four PhD conferences on sustainable development, each highlighting a specific theme. The next conference will take place on 9 October 2025, on the theme of sustainability pluralism: approaches, regions, actors.

The day will start with a plenary session or keynote speaker on this year’s theme. We will then continue with presentations, workshops and other activities led by doctoral students at Lund University.
