My background
I am a doctoral student at the Centre for Environmental and Climate Science (CEC) and part of the Agenda 2030 Graduate School. In my previous studies I have received a degree in Environmental Engineering with focus on water resources from the Technical University of Denmark. Throughout my studies I have focused on water savings and water resource management both in a Danish and in an international context.
My research
My research focuses on how to manage drinking water resources in a sustainable way accounting for the needs of the present and the future. In sustainable water resource management both the physical processes governing water systems and the various interests at stake when planning and managing water resources needs to be taken into account. In this project the focus will primarily be on Sweden and how water resource management is conducted through water protection areas.
My research project is linked to the sustainable development goals, especially good health and well-being (SDG 3), clean water and sanitation (SDG 6), sustainable cities and communities (SDG 11) and peace, justice and strong institutions (SDG 16).
