About my research project

My research project is about mediating the needs of people and nature in after dark environments. We investigate how outdoor lighting gives pedestrians accessibility to urban green areas, by also complying at the needs of other species.

The aim of the study is to develop environment-friendly light sources that can enable walkability and comfort on people. The psychological aspect of health-promoting behaviors that enhance well-being is part of my contribution.

The project (NorDark) is a collaboration among three universities from Sweden, Finland and Norway. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) from Agenda 2030 which we contribute to are good health and well-being (SDG 3), sustainable cities and communities (SDG 11), responsible consumption and production (SDG 12) and life on land (SDG 15).
