About me
I am a public health professional with a background in international development. In addition to completing the Masters programme in Public Health here at Lund University in 2018, I have a Masters in Development Studies from London School of Economics (2004) and a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Royal Hollow, University of London (2002).
Professionally I have worked mostly within the HIV and AIDS sector with a focus on gender and human rights first for PEPFAR (the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief) in Mozambique and then for UNAIDS Malawi. I have also worked as a Project Manager for Hifab International AB where I was responsible for several international development projects in Laos, Angola and Liberia, amongst others.
About my research project
My PhD studies are focused on sexual violence in migrant populations, with a particular focus on migrant youth in Sweden, under the supervision of Benedict Oppong Asamoah and Anette Agardh.
